The honorable mention academic all-conference selection was at his best against the run, sharing a team-high nine stops in the win over Michigan State . . . Demorest, Ga. / Habersham Central HS Redshirt year: 2013 2015 — Did not attempt a punt in the season opener vs. Eastern Washington. 2014 — Handled all of the team's punting duties, launching 47 kicks throughout the course of the year while placing the football where only 11 boots were able to be returned . . . Averaged 39.1 yards per punt, including a long of 53 yards, without encountering any blocked attempts . . . Five of his punts were over 50 yards, and 11 were downed inside the 20-yard line . . . Enjoyed his best day against Colorado in Eugene, averaging 45.3 yards-per-punt with all three of his attempts landing inside the 20 yard line . . . Was called on seven times vs. Michigan State (43.0 avg.) while attempting only one punt on three occasions . . . Was credited with an assisted tackle in the National Championship Game . . . Also added a career-high five tackles, including three solo. 2014 — One of the team’s top special teams standouts along with being a major contributor off the bench in the secondary stepped onto the field in 12 of 15 games during the season . . . Recorded 16 tackles on the year, with 11 of the stops occurring while covering kickoffs . . . Was credited with nine unassisted takedowns, including an 11-yard quarterback sack in his collegiate debut against South Dakota . . . Contributed four tackles – three of which were unassisted – in a road win at Utah in only 13 plays . . . Then logged in 20 snaps or more in each of his next four appearances, including a season-high 24 plays at Oregon State . . .
